Did you know that National Hamburger Day is just the beginning of this long weekend, this year?
National Hamburger Day is on the 28th of May, Friday, and Memorial Day is just on the 31st of May. It is a great excuse to celebrate the unofficial start of summer by grilling out homemade hamburgers in your backyard.
Remembering in my childhood, we always had big family gatherings at my aunt and had a hamburger day. That was my favorite hamburger! The taste of the hamburger is unforgettable! I think sharing with your loved ones makes it more unforgettable. In this blog, I will share that recipe with you.
The first step should be inviting your loved ones. The taste of the hamburger will be doubled, sharing food brings joy to your table and creates unforgettable memories.
Here is the recipe for my aunt’s juicy hamburger.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb non - fat ground beef
- 1 large egg
- 1 onion
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp shredded coconut
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper grind
- Flour
Method:
Dice onion finely. Saute finely diced onions with butter but do not wait for them to change their colors. Wait for diced onions to cool down.
Melt 2 tbsp butter on another separate pan. Leave that butter to cool down as well.
After waiting for onion and melted butter to cool down, mix ground beef with butter, onion, egg, shredded coconut, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
After mixing all ingredients well, put this mixture into the refrigerator to allow flavors to develop for half an hour.
Form rounded hamburger patties.
If you grill them on the pan you can powder patties to the flour before placing them on the pan. Use some butter to grill them on the pan. You can also cook it on a grill if you have it in your backyard.
Here are the best juicy hamburger patties! It is so easy, it will only take an hour to prepare and cook it.
Of course, it is not only hamburger patties! So when you go shopping for hamburger patties ingredients, you should not forget to buy other stuff.
List toppings that you and your guests like such as ketchup, mayonnaise, any kind of cheese (cheddar is the best companion with hamburger :P ), bacon, fried egg, caramelized onions, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles…
And of course, a hamburger without fries is like a sea without sand. Therefore, either you should buy potatoes to fry or you can buy frozen ready ones to cook.
Don’t also forget to load up on drinks! Beer would be a great match to hamburger!
Before going grocery shopping, be aware of deals in each store. Here on promotons, you can discover all stores such as Kroger, Target, Walmart, Roche Bros., Martin's Supermarkets, VG's Grocery, ShopRite and so many more. Find the nearest grocery store to you and save on your next grocery purchase.
Wish you a great weekend ahead! Hope you like this juicy hamburger recipe!
